"I was staying for business/work. The room was clean and nice and quiet. Breakfasts were good. A lot of variety for food. Front desk staff were nice and had great suggestions for dining. I would stay again! "
"The gladiolus suite is a full blown clean apartment with two bedrooms, huge living room, one bath, large covered porch. No kitchen but there is a fridge and microwave for all on the floor to use. Delicious hot breakfast. Really impressive "
"Fantastic location!!! Walk to EVERYTHING downtown. Next to train tracks, you will hear every train. I like that and don’t wake for the night trains! You? Room newly but simple and basic reno, except not the bathroom yet. Room was spotless and functional and big. New owners are fantastic, but fixing up what had been a dilapidated hotel takes time and money so if you’re needing perfection stay elsewhere (& pay accordingly!). If you want an imperfect work in progress place to stay for a really good price with great management doing their best with the resources they have, stay here! In brief: quiet except the trains; fantastic location; great value for $$; functional and clean; bathroom in desperate need of paint, but everything works, including hot water; good management; raise issues and they’ll be resolved, if you don’t speak up, they’re too busy to imagine your problems and you won’t get them fixed. It’s a huge but worthwhile project, but the staff are humans, not Apollo…😁"
