「We always ask for a river view and it was greatly appreciated」

「Clean, comfortable, spacious room. Great, helpful staff. Close to bus station, restaurants, stores, boutiques, and four-FOUR charity shops! :) (Parking is confusing, however. Park in the nearby city lot in a space with WHITE borders-otherwise you may have to pay.)」

「We really enjoyed our stay for two nights at Battlesteads. Two things really stood out - the food was excellent (except chips - a minor thing), and the staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and welcoming without being overbearing. 「Room was immaculate and refurbished recently by the looks of it. Good breakfast choices in the cafe downstairs and the staff are very helpful. Only thing was that the B&B had no notification from Expedia that the stay had been prepaid and so they went to take payment from me. 「Excellent staff very kind and hospitable and very nice pub food and breakfast. LargeTV screen to watch the World Cup and BBC I player to catch up on the highlights, all good.」

「Friendly and good time」
