「Stayed here several times now. Staff have always been super friendly and the rooms are good despite being a little dated. The bar is very friendly, food is good and the hotel is conveniently located for the town centre and railway station. Highly recommended. 」

「Spent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh! We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....

「Another restful stay at this lovely hotel. It’s always spotlessly clean and well maintained. The rooms are modern and well appointed. The bar /restaurant is excellent. We normally stay weekdays and it’s pretty quiet but it’s a near perfect wedding/party venue so I would imagine it’s pretty busy and maybe not so restful at the weekends. It’s situated near but not in the Peak District in lovely surroundings. Hopefully we’ll be back again sometime.」

「Nice, clean with a nice local pub right across the courtyard. Very handy. However the pub is only open limited hours and no where else to eat within walking distance except a fish n chips joint. We stayed in apartment 3. Suited our family of 4 well, but note there is no mini fridge or micro that a family might hope for. Walls are thin too but not a big deal. 」

「Lovely staff in the adjacent barn conversion. Very spacious room with super king bed and lovley bathroom with free standing bath and separate shower. Had a great stay」

「We loved ot here and i have nothing bad to say about it the service was 100% the breakfast was great and even when we arrived and we couldn't open our window nothing was to.much trouble and he just got on and did it me and my other half are definitely going to make coming here a regular thing amd the afternoon tea was excellent thank you and see you again soon 」

「The room was beautiful. We had been to a wedding so they allowed late arrival back. The only feedback is they the room was stifling hot to enter. There wasn’t air conditioning but there was a fan they I was happy with. The pillows were so comfy and it was a luxurious stay. Would return. Breakfast was also delicious. 」
