"The attic apartment was a great find! View of the main Neckar River bridge on one side and view of the Heidelberg castle on the other side!! Big bedroom, small kitchen, nice bathroom with shower, separate bathtub, 2 sinks! Just be prepared to walk up little stairs to the 5th floor, which was a bit hard with luggage but fine after that. And there is an underground parking structure about 2 blocks away if you bring a car or public transportation bus stops right in front of apartment."

Ohhh My God, I love this place!!! they made a great job making the living room special and full of details. I love the pictures, the book all over (with a sign take one, leave one) the guitars for people who can play, the coffee, oh yeah the nice coffee!!!
If I could go and live there... I would so much do so.
I mean it. from 8 different places that I stayed, I think the other one could take time reviewing what makes this Hostel so special.

The desk staff and concierge were wonderful: helpful, prompt and friendly. The rooms were beautiful, and the breakfasts offered a huge and delicious variety of cereals, breads, eggs, meats, cheeses, juices, coffees, teas, and more.

Since it's small, it had a more intimate feel. We loved how close it is to the many Christmas markets, old bridge, Philosophers' Walk, and old castle. Taking bus 32 from the train station drops you right at the hotel! We would stay here again. We stayed in December and it was plenty warm.

The hotel is in a great location - right by the bridge and castle. The room was huge and we could have stayed there for weeks, it felt so comfortable. Restaurant has the best food in town.

Situated on Hauptstrasse (Main Street) in old town Heidelberg. It as good to walk every day just as the Germans do. Shops were okay, but plentiful. Also close to Heidelberg's main historical attractrations, the Schloss (Castle) and the Alte Brucke ( the old Bridge).
Room comes with a complementary breakfast which, from my earlier experiences, is typical German. The hotel

Lovely , modern hotel in a great location just on the edge of old town. It is a a bit of a walk to the castle if you have mobility issues but not an issue for us, as we like hiking/walking and the multi-lingual staff will assist with calling a taxi if needed. We had a junior suite on the top floor that has a balcony with a city view and it was perfect for 2 adults & a teen. Major plus was functional air conditioning in October!!! We stayed at other hotels in Germany & France that advertised air...

This was a wonderful place in every way. The people there were very helpful and friendly. The room was charming and big, perfect for me and my 22 year old daughter (two beds on opposite sides of a big room). Breakfast was good, and you can't beat the location. No elevator (I imagine most hotels in Heidelberg are the same) and we were on the 4th floor, but this was fine for us (considering we also hiked up the Philosopher's Way and such).

Good location in the pedestrian only area of Heidleberg, the hotel is located about a 1/2 block from the P6 city parking garage and a short walk with luggage. Rooms are clean and large. Our room overlooked the walking street below and was nice to look out at the street from the room.

The staff was very friendly. I was able to leave my luggage with them for a couple of hours while I explored Heidelberg. The room was very nice, probably the best one I stayed in during my 2 week European Adventure. Finally, the breakfast was plentiful and offered a nice variety to choose from. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Heidelberg and would stay again, if my travels take me through this area. Chris.

My only struggle was showing up later than expected and not being able to contact the emergency number due to my phone, but I got it figured out and everyone was kind and approachable. I stayed in a single room, which worked for me, but I would definitely look at the larger rooms if I was with my wife and/or family.

The hostel had comfortable beds and a good view of the river. It was quiet at night despite the restaurant below. Linens and towels provided. Many flights of steps to get to the room. Not a private bathroom as listed here. Shared the bathroom with one other room on the floor. The shower did not drain. We told the staff but it was unable to be fixed.
Hemingway's Hostel was close to the transit stop and about 2km to the hbf. Shopping, dining, and the local attractions are within walking distance.

Hotel staff was excellent and very accommodating. A little out of the way but if you arrive in time you can take the Klum train up the hill right behind the drop point behind the castle.
