Beautiful hotel in perfect location. Room had no aircon and it was a hot day, but beds comfortable and room very nice. Breakfast nice but perhaps 2 staff needed to keep up with the busy customers. Walking stand l to the castle and town square, so pretty!! Would stay again.

Heidelberg fairytale family vacation

The receptionist at our check in was wonderful! She provided us with a map of Heidelberg and noted attractions for us. She is a great spokesperson for this town. My cappuccino at breakfast was the best I’ve had yet in Germany, and breakfast staff were amazing too. Our room is enormous and like a studio apartment, highly recommend.

Fantastic stay!

Our stay at the Hotel Am Schloss in Heidelberg was fantastic. The hotel is in a great location to explore the old town. it is clean and comfortable. The best part is the amazing view of the castle! Great stay. Highly recommend!

Stayed with my mom here while visiting the Heidelberg Christmas Markets! Very close to the main markets, and the funicular up to the castle was basically attached to the hotel’s bldg. Perfect location for seeing the castle and walking through the Christmas markets!

This hotel is in the heart of all the shops and restaurants in Heidelberg! We were 132 steps away from the castle! The room was large, clean, and spacious. The view from our window was very nice too. The receptionist was lovely! So helpful and patient. We will definitely stay at this hotel again!
