「Excellent view from both windows in our room. We can see the big orange Torii in the sea. Room is comfortable and larger than expectation. Food is tasty and service is considerate. Like our luggage was well delivered to our room when check in and with shuttle service that ride us to the ferry pier when check out. 」
「Nice traditional Japanese hotel, with super friendly and helpful staff. Located in the heart of town, a lot of nice small restaurants around, but not noisy at all inside the hotel. Area is well connected to tram and the main station. The Japanese breakfast (there is a choice between western and japanese breakfast) is great!」
"Lovely, charming ryokan exactly as pictured. The omakase dinner was amazing and the breakfast was also very welcome. It’s in a very quiet part of the village so it’s very peaceful. One of the rooms has a patio great for chilling out and it’s almost dark enough at night to take photos of the Milky Way.
On a side note, I initially just wanted to drop my bags off in morning, but to my surprise, the owner allowed me to check-in early!
Highly recommended stay.
Some things to note:
- There’s a shop across the street (run by an old sweet couple) selling drinks and snacks
- The stairs going up to the rooms are very steep so watch out if you have mobility challenges
- I was greeted my deer the next morning, not sure if this is normal but it was a nice way to top off my stay
