"Unfortunately the worst place we've stayed in Japan, the walls where paper thin, which didn't stop our neighbours being noisey and energetic... For 30 seconds or so. The bigger problem was our room was right next to the lifts so we could hear them rushing up and down all night and could hear every conversation happening in the hallway very clearly. The building itself is very dated the bathroom looks like it came out of a 1980's caravan. The staff were nice enough and we can't really fault them, but we stayed at the Mitsui garden hotel PREMIER in Kyoto a week before and the staff there went above and beyond so the contrast was quite stark. I'd say this is a step below your average premier inn, so it's hard to recommend. Location on the other hand was fantastic so if you want a cheap place to stay after heavy night of drinking it's passable but if you want a decent hotel, like all of the others we have visited in Japan, I can't recommend this one.
