「We stayed for 1 night in September 2026. The hotel was exceptionallyl well-run, with personal, friendly, and cheerful service. Be aware there is no lift.Wonderful breakfast with great variety, catering to specific dietary needs. Would definitely stay again if in the area. A real gem!」

「Thanks to the host and their lodge, we had a wonderful time! We had the chance to observe the cows, we really enjoyed it. The room had all the amenities needed, we were able to make ourselves dinner during our stay. That was a plus for us. The parking was accessible and the check in message they sent us had all the necessities to access the propriety. It is a must if you are going to visit that part of Scotland!」

「The property is situated near North Berwick and has beautiful gardens. The building itself is a bit tired. Our room was disappointing for the grade of hotel. Coffee facilities were basis (one packet of two pieces of shortbread to share!). The cooked breakfast was lovely but the continental selection was very poor compared to similar hotels and given that one of the main selling points of the hotel is the Chez Roux restaurant. Cleanliness not what we would have expected either - some litter...

「Very comfortable clean and well equipped room. Great bar with an excellent selection of whiskies. Excellent food with a small menu. Good service from a friendly, well informed staff who were a great credit to the hotel. Difficult and limited parking. Will certainly visit again.」

「I liked the room food and mini fridge options for breakfast and snacks. Suited my early departure plan. Also I was able to put my bike inside at reception ground level., since it’s a small on street building. The room was functional but the sink had a slight smell which would be good to investigate. Great position.」
