"Thoroughly enjoyed a nice September weekend at Mar Monte. The staff were wonderful: friendly & helpful. I'm from out of State, and found the fresh produce in the restaurants to be outstanding, along with good service. The room was comfortable - firm mattress, with a soft pillow-top, soft pillow, good temperature. They do have a primitive cooling system, which is rather loud. Bathroom & shower were clean & good. The hotel is right across the street from a clean and well maintained beach - safe for walking any time of day. I'd happily stay here again next visit."
"Though the building is older, the room was super clean and comfortable, the pool was immaculate and perfect temperature, the place is charming, quiet and convenient.
Alejandro was very polite, welcoming and extremely helpful and patient when we had trouble with our window shade."
"The Inn at Summer Hill is a quaint little hotel with lots of charm in the city of Summerland. I stayed here while visiting my niece and I would definitely stay here again. The room was like a little cottage, and it had a patio that overlooked the ocean. The staff at the front desk was amazing and went out of their way to comp me breakfast and coffee. I felt very safe as well. The only negatives are the Road Noise and nearby train and there doesn't seem to be a daily cleaning service-if so, they missed my room. "
"This was a lovely cottage and a beautiful location. It was spotless. So clean I could’ve eaten off the floor. My one and only complaint was the mattress. It’s old and squeaky and needs to be replaced. Other than that this was an idyllic vacation and a wonderful rental."
