「I’m Solo traveller from Canada , it felt like home at Garlands, bed was so comfy !!! Staff were honest, helpful and friendly . Neighbourhood was safe and so culturally rich, short walk to everything . I will def return. Highly recommend Garlands ! 」

「The room at first night was small and there’s serious problem with the shower, the sewer was clogged and water flowed over all over the room all the way to the downstairs, we had to request to change to another room. Swimming pool at rooftop was not well maintained so the water looks not clean. 」

「The location is unbeatable - in the middle of all the action and at the terminus of all the public transit routes. However, condition of the building is quite dated, and the shared bathrooms need remodeling. Within the rooms, the beds and bedding are fairly low quality and there are occasionally bugs.」

「A 15 min walk to the Malecon. The neighbourhood was definitely, off the beaten path, but we always felt safe working both day and evening. 」
