"Rooms are small but clean and functional and have every thing you need .The shower was excellent ( probably the best we have used in any hotel ever) In the end we were too tired to use the bar…but we like the look of it. "I've stayed at the property several times whilst attending a work training event. On a number of occasions I have been allocated a room on the opposite side of the hotel from the rest of my colleagues. When I queried this at check in, I was advised there were no other rooms available. What I also find disappointing is that one of my colleagues consistently appears to receive room upgrades, yet whenever I have politely asked, I am told that nothing is available. During my most recent stay, after reaching down to my bag at reception, I stood up and noticed the receptionist laughing with a colleague whilst looking in my direction. Whether intentional or not, it came across as unprofessional and uncomfortable. I have another work training session at the beginning of June and, although the Park Royal would have been the most convenient option, I have chosen to stay elsewhere instead. If staff are going to mock or laugh at guests, I would at least expect it not to happen within view of the check in desk. Very disappointing and not the level of professionalism I would expect. As a result, I will not be staying at the hotel again in future."

"Great location to stay, right next to the car return village (within a 15 minute walk or 3 minute car ride). The food was excellent and the bus shuttle provided was a key reason for our choice. Would definitely book again."
