「A superb night away from home in a beautiful area. The Pheasant is immaculately maintained. The rooms are stylish and scrupulously clean. The restaurants, again, are beautifully decorated and the food is perfect. Staff are all friendly, polite and generally lovely. I can’t recommend this place too highly.」

「As a solo female traveller, I really like this hotel. It’s basic, but clean and friendly and I feel very safe. As it is a training centre, there are lots of groups of people, but also other solo travellers. I probably wouldn’t use this hotel for a socks trip, but for work it is ideal. Dinner and breakfast are good, it is a buffet style and included in the price. I like this a lot, as generally I will not have dinner alone, but here, it is perfectly acceptable to do so, without standing...

「The bathroom had a gas smell in the night and the toilet in room 215 was extremely difficult to flush . Tv needs a manual and couldn’t get standard channel on but room and view was wonderful. Staff short in breakfast area . Had to wait to get sat down . N still havnt got out toast . Food was lovely when we got it though . 」

「We visit every Christmas and the condition of the hotel gets better and better each visit. So good to see a property being invested in and maintained. The rooms, staff, food and bar are really excellent. Only very minor gripe - some smoked salmon at breakfast would be nice.」

「This was an amazing treat! Four sisters coming together from all sides of the globe to have a fun countryside experience! We booked the family suite and it was perfect! From the arrival glass of bubbles to the evening meal and audio house tour - amazing! Wish we had stayed longer! 」
