「Although the hotel would benefit from some updating it was really clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast and an evening meal plus bar drinks and it was extremely good value for money. The meals were all home cooked and delicious.」

On arrival, the oven and hob were visibly dirty with grease and residue, and the kitchen overall did not appear to have been properly cleaned. There was no bin provided anywhere in the property, only loose bin bags left for guests to manage waste themselves. The bathroom showed visible mould around the shower area. 「The hotel is going through updating, the swimming pool was ok, the room was very dated, the bath panel was broken but all we wanted was a bed for 1 night. When we left one if the updated rooms was open and I must say they looked beautiful. When this hotel is finished I'm quite sure it will be of good standard.」

Staff were all very courtious and helpful. Direct booking rather than via an agency is preferred. We will certainly be recomending the Lion to our friends and relations and using you again next time we are in the area. 「Had a 2 night stay at this property, very happy with our visit, couldn't really fault it to be fair, as we didn't really spend a lot of time there apart from our first night.
