「We were passing through on a motorcycle trip. The hotel was just as described. Nothing too fancy and no interaction with anyone while checking in or out. There was a cool looking bar area but it was closed for a private party. Not many dinner choices around the area however we took a beautiful stroll along the water to the marina where we had a drink and dinner. 」

「The one thing I will caution future guests about is breakfast. It’s one menu selection (there is no menu to choose from) for everyone every morning. So if you’re a picky eater or have lots of food sensitivities, this could be a real hassle. It is served in your room only, and delivery runs a bit on island time. 「As I had found that this property was once owned by my 3X great granduncles I was fascinated by the history and walked in their footsteps. As I descended the original, narrow stairs with the low hand rails I imagined the original women in their high button shoes and hoop skirts more gracefully than me maneuvering them daily.
