「This is possibly the most charming hotels and place I can remember staying. It’s an old building in a harsh Scottish environment and that is part of its charm. If you want pristine decoration it’s not for you. If you want excellent hospitality, fantastic staff and walls full of the owner’s original art, go. Walk the Crinan trail - the view from the viewpoint is one of the best on a clear day (it is a steep walk though). A genuine Scottish gem.」

「Hands down my favorite hotel during my trip. On the day of my check-in, I made dinner reservations and unfortunately I ran into car trouble so I was going to miss dinner hours by 20 minutes. Immediately when I got to check in, they offered to make me a plate even though the kitchen was closed. 10/10 hotel! I’ll be visiting again」

Playing board games by the fireplace in the evenings was a lovely touch. It’s only a ten minute drive into Oban, burger e high away that it’s peaceful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back. 「Staff helpful without being over bearing Rooms clean and modern Restaurant cosy and a great ambience Food was amazing and a great selection on the menu. Only criticism would be the walls are quite thin on the room meaning it’s a bit noisy when other guests are in their room」

「Old hotel and not really clean. Hair on linen. The worst thing is no wifi connection at all because they are fixing it for days. The hotel should inform guests who want to book the hotel in advance rather than saying sorry after we arrived. Really bad experience as we are cheated.」
