「Good A/C, nice sized room. Appreciated the "larger" mini frudge and coffee maker in the room. Very helpful woth local resources and advice on best travel routes. Got to see a mother howler monkey nursing her baby in the tree just adjacent to the room. Room walls are concrete, so couldn't hear anything from adjacent rooms. Much more serene atmosphere than the hectic pace and crowds in Nosara and Guiones beach areas. Would definitely stay again. Thank you, Louie for wonderful hospitality.」

It is a bit remote so good idea to bring games and snacks if traveling with kids. The restaurant on the premise is expensive but serves creative dishes by a Michelin star chef using local ingredients.」

「We had a horrible experience before coming to this place so we were extraordinarily happy to find a clean location. This place is brand new so it’s very clean and wonderful. The only thing I would say is that if you’re planning a big visit to Tamarindo stay at this place in 2027 and check that the construction is finished. They are currently building a club and pool area on the beach across from the rooms that we stayed at. If you stay before 2027 and you want a pool, they are offering for you...

The property has two sections—one directly on the beach and another across the street, which is where I stayed. 「The Sunset Shack was fantastic for our family trip to Nosara. The beach is super close, and the town is very cute. We were right in the middle of it all. Monkeys in the mango trees on the property in the morning, and iguanas roaming all day. The food, the staff, and the hotel itself were all 5 stars! We would love to return to Nosara, and would not stay anywhere else. Thank you Sunset Shack!」
