"Fantastic location that's walking distance to the refuge! the room was very clean and the owners were very helpful and gracious. The room itself was basic and maybe a little weary, but the location, secure parking, and kindness of the owners made it great. If I were to visit again, I'd stay if their treehouse for the charm and amenities."

"I spent two days here and it was unlike any other lodge/hotel I’ve been to before. The rooms are beautiful, the pool is stunning, the jungle gym is also such an amazing addition but nothing tops the the host himself, he made sure every question was answered and I truly felt at home almost 4000 km from Canada. However, it is important to note that you must call a day ahead to confirm your booking as the man on duty is not always notified that you are coming... Also, be aware that to get to Ostional and Villas Punta India, you must travel on at least 17 miles of dirt road. Rough drive if you don't have 4-wheel drive (or a larger car)!"

"Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects. That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...
