"My family and I have stayed at RIU Vallarta and at RIU Palace Pacifico in Puerto Vallarta. This time we stayed at RIU Flamingos since we saw they remodeled. The staff is not as friendly and attentive as the staff at RIU Vallarta and RIU Palace Pacifico. We didn't care for the horses in front of the beach. They leave their mess and you have to watch where you walk to make sure you don't step on it. I would rate the food a 6 out of 10.
We were not told at check-in about the process of making reservations for the Steak House. When we showed up at the steak house, we were told reservations are only made via the app. They open 40 slots at 12am and once they are full, the reservation is closed. Good thing we found out before our last day there. I was able to reserve at 6:30am for that night."
