Deluxe 2 double bed room south side of building over side street. Not noisy. View of ocean and downtown/hills/sunset. Housekeeping and facilities staff do a great job - very clean - both room and property in general. Not much choice available in buffet restaurant although nice ambiance. The Sunset restaurant overlooking the beach was better. Good breakfast and dinner options. Nice staff. CON- privilege club sellers hit you right away from check in - quite aggressive wanting to give you an immediate tour of the property before you’ve even gone to your room. Not a great way to welcome guests arriving after a long day of travelling. Otherwise, it’s a nice hotel close to the Malecon area and overall we enjoyed our stay.

Wejust left the Buenaventura family of 7 three rooms they didn’t have enough regular rooms for us so two of us got upgraded to honeymoon suites!!! The staff is absolutely amazing and go above and beyond many many thanks to everyone. I won’t remember all of their names, but some of them are Gustavo, Jorge, Eduardo, Liliana, Bianca, and Rudy oh and Nora‘s new boyfriend Carlos Nora is our baby she’s 8 1/2 months old. Adan is the animation lead and is BEYOND wonderful!! Food is great, always something to choose from! CLEAN! Amazing housekeepers! Our family trip fave so far! We will be back 😊😊😊

The room was nice, however the closet only had 4 (very small drawers). My daughter and I shared 3 drawers and my husband had one and complained we only left him one. Again, they are small. We hung our dresses. There was plenty of closet space to hang clothes. Our room did not have a balcony only a window towards the street. So he had to dry out wet clothes in the bathroom using the clothes line. Lastly, the food was good but cooled down fast due to the big ceiling fans in the restaurant/buffet room. The customer service was great! The staff cared about the service. They did a great job. From the bartenders to the hostess/waitress to housekeeping. Everyone was great!

Our room was spotless! We loved our week at the Buenaventura. The location was ideal, we felt safe, the beach and the pools were wonderful and the entertainment and special meals were so good! The buffet was very good, for that style of eating, but it was also nice to have a la carte options. The service was exceptional and we would welcome a chance to stay there again!

We had originally booked a 4 night stay, but left after one night. This was highly rated online as a small luxury all inclusive. But the room was more motel style than resort style. The property is very small with two restaurants that need reservations, one adult only, and one buffet style that doesn't. Since we had just arrived the others were booked so we went to the regular buffet. The food was very bad, one bad pasta, some overcooked meat chunks, some potatoes, but the Mexican station was not even open. The pizzas seemed like they had been reheated leftovers from lunch. Because the property is small the pool is small and was packed with kids. The room was small with two firm double beds so I spent the night trying to book something else last minute so we could enjoy our Thanksgiving break. Seems like the hotel was prepared for this and made me sign an early checkout form. On the plus side It is a short walk to the north side of the Malecon and the beach was nice. So if you want a small boutique size all inclusive for very reasonable prices this might be for you, but if you are looking for a nicer family getaway this is not as nice as the pics make it out to be and the area isn't the nicest part compared to other areas. This is more a 3 star hotel, not a 4-5 like is advertised.

This Hotel was spotless. Staff was friendly and very attentive. They welcomed us at the lobby with lemonade as we were checking in. The food was delicious the drinks were great. I loved everything about this Hotel this is the 1st time I give an excellent review to a Hotel. The malecon is nearby walking distance we walked there every night it was so lovely. I highly recommend it.

Room was great and clean, no issues with plumbing for once. Staff was all very courteous and the food was good also. Buffet wasn't amazing but it was edible, the beach restaurant was great so mostly ate there. Location was great also - easy access to other bars and restaurants. The pool is not huge but it was never overly busy and there was always room on the beach with chairs available.

Buena Ventura Grand is a beautiful and fun resort — the grounds are gorgeous, the staff is friendly, and overall we really enjoyed our stay. However, the one downside was the membership presentation they convinced us to attend in order to receive discounted spa services. We were told it would be a quick 90-minute meeting, but it ended up taking over 3 hours, and the sales team was pushy. They didn’t take our first few “no’s” for an answer and kept trying to convince us to sign up and spend a lot of money. It definitely took away from the relaxing experience we were hoping for. If you stay here, the resort itself is great — just be cautious about agreeing to the presentation.

The Staff was awesome, very friendly and helpful. It's an all-inclusive hotel so meals and some drinks included. Didn't really enjoy the hotel food, so we often grabbed meals outside of the hotel. We had a power outage during our stay and the hot water was intermittent, literally completely stopping then starting up again. Other than that, the stay was great.

Everything was great with an exception that we make a reservation at sunset restaurant, we all order steak and it was nasty over a pound of pure fat. I paid for our dinner and of course i brought it up to the manager's attention. Hopefully they'll do something about it.

Food options seem to more of a rinse and repeat everyday. Inconsistent staff at table when dining in the restaurant, order something from one person, and then another comes asking the same thing and don't check in regularly to see if there is anything else you need. People with upgraded packages receive preferential service in the same areas as the rest of the people. Recommend having separate areas for upgrades if you don't receive the same level of service. The resort is on the smaller side, so can get busy and noisy in the pool with no other place to go. The adult pool is not supervised enough and fills with kids which is not ideal for those who don't have or want to be around screaming children all day.

If you are looking for a location on the water & close to the Melacon Boardwalk, this is the place ! Updated rooms and friendly staff for sure! Wasn't crazy about the Buffet but the restaurants were pretty tasty!

Small resort, friendly staff, clean and good food. We were there with a group of 12 in Nov 2025. Rooms are small but clean. Food is good. Only 1 restaurant option but the food was good and done well. Nice beach and pool areas. Entertainment each night. 15 min walk to Malecon.
