「it was exactly what I wanted. i'm 84 and wanted to stay on the oceanfront and the boardwalk was what I wanted. as a kid in 1949 or 1950i stayed with my parents in a little apartment over a souveneer shop on the boardwalk and I was trying to relive that wonderful memory. I did. so pitiful when hurricane hazel tore up Carolina beach.」

「During our stay, the elevator was completely out of service, and we had to climb the stairs many times. In the breakfast room, one of the younger waiters had a very bad attitude and was extremely slow, except for one staff member who was fine. The air conditioner in the room was extremely loud. If you’re not a heavy sleeper, I really wouldn’t recommend staying here—you’ll feel like you’re sleeping on a train all night.」
