「Nicely designed hotel. Comfy bed and spacious room. 」

「Good: The hotel is well located and impressive in its public areas. All the staff are friendly and polite The breakfast is very good Not so good: The room itself was not too impressive. The room was stuffy, safe didn’t work, and the shower was a trickle. Overall location 10 out of 10 so if you are out and about exploring York all day and arriving/departing by train it would be good choice. If you want to relax in your room then I would recommend a different room category or another hotel. 」

「Beautiful hotel and very nice bathroom, bed was comfortable. Quiet environment and around 20 mins walk to city centre. Only thing is we have big luggage but there is no lift.」

「Stayed here for a night, wished to stay more nights! It's luxury and cozy, the food and drink seemed to be great, haven't have a chance to try though. It was a high class hotel at accessible location, the price was friendly, will definitely recommend to anyone visiting York.」

「Lovely place to stay out of town and surrounded by beautiful gardens. There is a bus about 50m away that goes to York. Great place to stay and explore the area, then come home to an excellent spa and gym. Only grizzle is that the pillows weren’t great and I think if you’re staying there you should get a spa towel without paying for it! Make sure to book any spa treatment or restaurant early as they book out. 」

「Overall a very good hotel. But the first morning the fire alarm went off at 655am. No fire. Same morning no hot water.」
