Lovely stay, the room was great and the location is beautiful. The only qualm we had was that we were in a room at the top of the house and so the ceiling dipped, which meant it was difficult to shower as the shower head was really low (I just fit underneath at 5”7). My partner also noticed it hadn’t been cleaned on top. May be noting on the booking that those rooms are not tall people friendly.

Everything was great, the only minor issue was with the heat it was so hot, yet no top sheet on the beds, just quilts. So no cover for sleeping. Apart from that, a lovely hotel

The hotel is perfectly placed in the centre of York and easy to get to. The staff were lovely and were able to accommodate giving us a lower-level room, which was so helpful (especially when pregnant in a heatwave!). There were lots of options available in the mini bar as well as teas, coffees, etc. The room was very comfortable and clean - we will definitely return next time we come to York.

It was ok but I wouldn't return. The room was smaller than expected and I couldn't stand up in the shower as it was in the raised bath and my head touched the rainfall shower head.

Great location and friendly staff. Small hotel. We stayed in the attic suite. Great but please keep in mind it’s quite a climb on a small staircase to get there. Second time staying at this gem.

Absolutely loved staying here, all the staff were lovely , really friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and had everything we needed, we especially loved sitting in the bay window watching the world go by. The hotel was situated in the perfect place 2 minutes from the river , 7mins from the centre and the street was lovely and quiet at night, we came in the train and it was a 10 minute walk from there so perfect all round. We will definitely return 😀
