"Stayed in a canal balcony room which was a welcome addition during hot weather although they supplied a fan the room got extremely hot and was quite unbearable sleeping. Found room clean and spacious, spa bath and a small fridge. Rooms were quiet and king bed was very comfortable with large tv and seating area. Breakfast was ok but lacking in black pudding/hash browns/mushrooms and no pastries etc which is normally standard in other hotels we’ve stayed in. Restaurant tables a bit close to each other .Used leisure facilities but was very busy and quite cramped and quite busy with other members of the leisure club rather than hotel guests. Car park was opposite and secure as fenced but £12 a day charge. Great location for walking into city centre, only 5/10 mins walk to local pubs and shops."
"It was a lovely hotel where the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was gorgeous (even if I did have to climb a random spiral staircase to get to the bed). Genuinely a lovely place to stay"
"Great location. Staff were both professional and friendly. Continental breakfast was a brilliant option within the price of the booking. Will be sad to the doors close in September."
"The place is beautiful and was great to be able to eat in the restaurant and have drinks in the bar. The beds were comfortable and the outside noise was minimal. I’ll be using this hotel again"
"What a delightful find, full of character, imagination and fun. Staff welcoming. Room very comfortable as was the bed, and the air con most welcome. If anything to pick at, we couldnt finish the breakfast, there was so much. Will definitely be revisting."
