「Hotel is undergoing renovations. Room had an awful smell of paint. After airing out it was fine. Side door into hotel was broken, no elevator. Halls lined with paper from renovations and drywall mud spilled all over the hallway floors. 」

「Staff is very friendly and helpful. Property is well kept but parking is insufficient to handle the number of guests' vehicles. Breakfast is continental but is complete enough to be a good full breakfast. We wish the bedroom had a door on it for privacy from the other living/sleeping area. We hear all the suites on site are that way.」

「Everything about this hotel was fantastic, except a couple of things. Unfortunately the pool wasn’t available for most of our stay which was disappointing. Also, the person working the cash register at the bistro was pretty rude when we corrected her on an order after she herself made two mistakes on it. Like we were inconveniencing her for her own mistake. Not the older woman. She was sweet! It was the younger woman. Christine or Christina I believe. Like, maybe quit if you hate your job so...

「Love this property for its cozy, historic ambiance and the beautiful views. The staff is wonderful and friendly. The only thing I would change is the dining options. The Rose room is wonderful for breakfast and it would be great if you could have a nice dinner there as well. The Noggin room is fun in its own way but not exactly a dining destination.」

「Room was very clean and the staff was quite responsive to our questions/needs. It's an older, nostalgic, roadside inn. The motel does show it's age but served our needs for a close room to sleep in near an event we participated in. New owners are doing some work to fix it up. 」

「Nice inexpensive hotel. Kind staff. Basic clean hotel room. Dated decor in public spaces. Shower curtain unfortunately did not stay inside the shower curb and water always puddled on bathroom floor. The inside of the bathroom door is deteriorating because of this. I would stay here again.」

「Dinner was excellent. Continental breakfast has limited selection and does not seem to have variety from day to day. Nice options for breakfast/brunch nearby in Petoskey. Very unique property with friendly and helpful staff.」

「The Bay View Inn is a lovely historic property with charming rooms, vintage decor and wonderful views of the bay. Sunsets are spectacular and there are amenities like free bikes to enjoy the nearby areas for walking and riding. The staff is friendly and committed to making your stay enjoyable. We appreciated the complimentary Happy Hour from 4-6 and the breakfast menu offered. Location is fantastic for exploring the vibrant communities of Petosky, Bay View, Harbor Springs and Charlevoix. ...
