We enjoyed our first stay at Bay View Inn. Even though it’s an older hotel it was exactly what we were looking for. The staff were friendly and helpful. And the complimentary beer and snack hour was just perfect before going out to dinner. We would definitely stay here again.

A not to be missed historic hotel with staff that genuinely cares. Of course the building shows its age but you would as well if you were 150 years old. But a great peek back at a historical period of care and discovery. This hotel is impeccably clean!

We have stayed at this property many times and the property was clean and staff friendly as usual. We were disappointed that breakfast was not included as it always was in the past. That was always a draw to the property so have to weigh in future

The Bay View Inn is a lovely historic property with charming rooms, vintage decor and wonderful views of the bay. Sunsets are spectacular and there are amenities like free bikes to enjoy the nearby areas for walking and riding. The staff is friendly and committed to making your stay enjoyable. We appreciated the complimentary Happy Hour from 4-6 and the breakfast menu offered. Location is fantastic for exploring the vibrant communities of Petosky, Bay View, Harbor Springs and Charlevoix. It’s only 36 minutes from the ferry to Mackinac Island as well. We’ll be back for sure!

Our room was clean and pretty, but no coffee maker, no fridge, and no TV. The floor was so far off level we were literally walking downhill to the bathroom. No continental breakfast, and the desk clerk wasn't sure when the restaurant opened on Sunday morning. Beautiful place, but not our thing.

The staff were so welcoming. There were 3 of them. All wonderful people. We chatted like old friends. In the morning Kristina was making coffee in the library/TV/Game room. We talked while she made 2 full containers of coffee. They all had recommendations and wanted to hear about our day when we came back.

While I was there inquired about the murder mystery dinner and she took me around to see all of the room choices so I could pick a special room for our 30th anniversary.
