"What a lovely spot! The staff was super helpful. We loved the fresh fruit and bread and the generous supply of fresh bottled water. Lovely street with lights strung all along it, quiet for sleeping. A wonderful experience all around!"

"Wonderful hotel. Beautiful old building. Centrally located for the old town. Staff are really friendly. Rooms are well appointed and clean. The altitude gets you on the walk up the stairs but you get acclimatised quickly! The dining room has the best views in the city. And the breakfasts are really delicious. And the chef is fantastic at altering the offering for any dietary. Highly recommend"

The hotel itself was very clean and well-maintained, which made the experience even more comfortable. "Hotel was in a great location and easy to walk to everything! Breakfast was simple but delicious. Staff were helpful. However, communication prior to the stay was very poor (taking days or weeks to respond, if at all) and then even though they confirmed in writing that they would pick us up from airport, they never showed up! We were left waiting at the airport at 3am and ended up catching a taxi. Also, our toilet (room 10) was faulty the whole time and wouldn’t flush properly. Everytime we mentioned it, they came to ‘fix’ it but it would only last one or two flushes and then not work again. No attempt to move us or offer compensation. "

"Great room with 4 beds and 2 baths- which is what I booked except on arrival they tried to give us 2 separate rooms (not sure why). Biggest issue is was street noise from traffic and trolley/street car 24/7. It also felt fairly unsafe surrounding property and on our early departure we could not locate a staff member to unlock the door to let us out. It ended up she was sleeping and we had to knock on numerous doors to find her. This caused a bit of a delay to depart for airport but we made it. Also seems this would be a safety issue. I don't mind them sleeping but perhaps install a bell or something. "
