The room was clean, Hernan was extremely helpful and gave us a lot of good suggestions for restaurants and places to see in Quito. I would recommend this place to travelers. The location is excellent in the heart of old town.
Hernan was so amazingly helpful in guiding us on what to see and how to see them as well as reserved massages and dinner times for us. Breakfasts were delicious and the room was impeccably clean and comfortable. Our king sized bed was so cozy. We will be back to stay for sure.
Hotel Casa Ecuatreasures was a wondeful place to stay for our visit to Quito. It is located in a great spot to explore the old town on foot, with easy access to the basilica as well as the various plazas and many places to eat and shop. However, the true highlight is definitely the manager Hernan! He is a warm and lovely host that is full of knowledge and is eager to help you enjoy Quito. The breakfasts were also very nice, local cuisine with fresh fruit juices. Highly recommend!
The breakfasts were a highlight. We were always asked what time we wanted breakfast and each day we were greeted with a healthy, tasty and Ecuadorian breakfast and fresh juice.
The hotel is conveniently located in the historic Old Town but on the outskirts so there is little noise. For us a highlight was being able to watch the New Year's Eve tradition of burning effigies right outside of our window because it is in a residential neighbourhood. There are many restaurants, convenience stores and pharmacies nearby.
The hotel owner host Hernan was another highlight. He was always present, always helpful and had great suggestions that helped to enhance our stay. One of us got ill from the altitude and he was very attentive and concerned.
I highly recommend this hotel if you want a personalised experience that feels like a private home and if you want to be in the historic district
Fantastic stay. Highly recommended. Location was great but the service is the reason to stay. Hernan and team went out of their way to ensure I had a great trip and authentic Ecuadorian experience.
Had a really nice stay, 4 Days in Quito's Centro Histórico, where the hotel is very conveniently situated. Hosts very friendly and helpful, lovely breakfasts cooked fresh each day, double room with bathroom with hot water, at front with balcony with views of city. All lovely
We loved staying here. The location was perfect for walking and enjoying Old Town. Hernan was very helpful, knowledgeable and kind. He served us a wonderful Ecuadorian breakfast each morning and the hotel has an authentic quaint vibe.
I highly recommend it.
Very comfortable hotel with helpful English speaking staff. Very close to all the sites in “old town”Quito but on a quiet street for restful sleep/evening relaxation. Super clean and tastefully decorated. The breakfast is traditional Ecuadorean and delicious. I loved this hotel and would definitely recommend it!
Wonderful, small hotel/bed and breakfast in the heart of the historic district. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower was one of the best I’ve experienced in Ecuador and had plenty of hot water. Staff are friendly and accomodating. Highly recommend!
If you're looking for an unforgettable experience in the heart of a historic district, look no further than Hotel Casa Ecuatreasures Centro Histórico! From the moment we booked, the Harnan personally reached out to ensure our stay was tailored to our exact preferences. The level of attention and care was truly unmatched.
The hotel itself is a gem, housed in a beautifully restored historic building with an open courtyard that transports you to another time while offering all the modern comforts you could ask for. It's located within walking distance of all the major attractions of the historic district, so you’ll have easy access to everything you want to see.
Now, let’s talk about the food, amazing doesn’t even begin to cover it. Each meal was a delightful experience, bursting with local flavors and ingredients. If you're a foodie, you're in for a treat.
But what really sets this place apart is the service. Harnan went above and beyond, helping us design personalized tours based on our interests. We had a private driver and car, making it so easy to explore the area at our own pace. And if that wasn't enough, they organized custom massages inspired by ancient Andean rituals, leaving us feeling rejuvenated and deeply relaxed.
If I could give this place 10 stars out of 5, I absolutely would. Hotel Casa Ecuatreasures offers a perfect blend of history, luxury, and personal care that makes every moment of your stay special. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!
A brilliant property with a lot of character and charm. Close to everything in the historic district.Eman was so great with explaining everything and so helpful with our luggage etc. I will be recommending this to all my friends going to Quito. So close to great restaurants and the basilica etc. loved it.
This is. In a Great location if you staying in old town. It’s only 3 blocks from plaza grande and the basilica. And the staff was amazing. Tony helped with. Everything. Even my questions about Galápagos Islands

Liked: Cleanliness
Clear , tidy . Staff / owner friendly ready with helpful suggestions of where to eat , what to do , where not to go!
Breakfast can be improved simply by adding breads and butter just in case ethic foods does not suit all tastes!
Great stay! Stayed 6 nights and Hernan fed us a traditional Ecuadorian breakfast every morning and gave useful and meaningful suggestions for where to go and what to see each day. Thoroughly enjoyed "Tenderness" by Oswald Guayasamin and eating at "La Vid". Hernan made the reservation and got us a table that looked out across Independence Square at the Cathedral. I recommend timing dinner with the sunset and the lighting up of the Cathedral. Hotel was easy walking distance to everything in historic old town Quito. Comfortable, sizable shower and quiet. Highly Recommend.
We had the best stay at this hotel. The hotel is lovely and the owner provides incredible service. We stayed with our 4 children for 2 nights after visiting the Galapagos. We are vegetarians and were provided with wonderful Ecuadorian breakfasts each morning that met our dietary needs. We explored the city on our own one day and saw so much. It is a beautiful city with so many amazing things to see. The area around the hotel is walkable to most attractions making it super convenient and we always felt safe, even getting dinner at night. The owner gave us a personalized tour the final day and we learned so much about the city and Ecuadorian culture. He also arranged transportation to and from the airport. If you are coming to Quito, book this hotel! It will make your vacation extra special.
We could not ask for a better stay! Hernan was very friendly and helpful throughout not only the stay but also the planning and booking process. He arranged our airport transfers, helped us arrange an uber(he interpreted for us). He made wonderful food and siteseeing recommendations. My wife recently had shoulder surgery and is still in a big bulky immobilizer. He was quick to get her an extra pillow to help her be more comfortable. Hernan even made us the most delicious homemade breakfast that he served with wonderful local fresh juice! I would absolutely recommend staying at Hotel Casa Ecuatreasures Centro Historico! Let's be honest..... it was a wonderful Bed and Breakfast, not just a hotel!!!
This was our first time in Ecuador, and we spent two nights at Hotel Casa Ecuatreasures. The building itself is beautiful—full of charm, stunning architecture, and lovely decor—right in the heart of the historic district. Our room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and felt safe and secure.
What truly made our visit special was Hernan. His hospitality exceeded our expectations. He offered us personalized day and night tours at a very reasonable price, and we felt incredibly lucky to experience Ecuador through his guidance. He provided an official Quito map, explained our options, and tailored the itinerary based on our limited time.
For the day tour, we visited the equator and rode the TeleferiQo cable car. In the evening, we explored both the historic and modern districts, finishing with a delicious street food tour—an absolute highlight!
Each morning began with a traditional Ecuadorian breakfast, complete with coffee and fresh juice made from local fruits unique to Ecuador.
Hernan went above and beyond throughout our stay—driving us to the sites, sharing his deep knowledge of Ecuadorian history and culture, and answering all of our questions with enthusiasm. His warmth and generosity made our experience unforgettable.
We truly enjoyed our time at Hotel Casa Ecuatreasures and can’t wait to return to see more of the sites we missed. This hotel is a hidden gem—highly recommended, and we’re already looking forward to staying longer on our next trip!
We stayed four-nights in May 2025 at Casa Equatreasures. My family occupied three rooms. The hotel location is near good restaurants and cultural attractions, and also walkable to the San Francisco subway station. The neighborhood felt very safe to us (3 women, 2 men).
The hotel has a central atrium that is a well lit socializing and reading space. Bedrooms were very clean and comfortable, and the attached bathrooms well appointed. Do not expect a luxury hotel. The rooms were spacious enough but not big. But, we were very comfortable and this was a base that felt like "home."
Daily breakfasts gave us a welcome exposure to delicious, nutritious, and filling Andean cuisine.
As good as the hotel was, the best aspect of our stay was interacting with our host, Hernan. His primary interest is for guests to be as comfortable as possible while experiencing all that Quito offers. He is a good listener and can offer travel advice tailored to each guest. I wish we had the energy to engage Hernan as a tour guide for a full day, but Quito's high elevation took us a lot of adjustment time.
We will return to Casa Equatreasures next time. No need for us to search further!
We have traveled around the world, and this may have been the BEST inn we've ever booked. It is not luxurious or all-inclusive, but it is truly beautiful and well-kept. The room was comfortable with plenty of space for two people and our luggage.
The best part of staying at Ecuatreasures is getting to know Hernan and Blanca. They are wonderful hosts. Hernan arranged airport transport for us, greeted upon check-in, and confirmed our comfort. The traditional Ecuadorian breakfast were FANTASTIC! Don't miss the tree tomato sauce (we even brought some home!)
Hernan offered to take us on a night tour of Quito and we are so glad we did this! We saw parts of the city we never would have found on our own.
Take a massage in their spa! It is absolutely out of this world! I don't know when I've been so relaxed!
The only warning I have - the hotel sits on a main, cobblestone road. Our room had a balcony overlooking the road so we could hear the traffic. It did not bother us at all (in fact we enjoyed hearing the city come to life each morning). However, you might request a room further back if you think that will bother you.
If I find myself in Quito again, this is where I will stay. I have never been treated so well by a host.
We had an amazing stay at Hotel Casa Ecuatreasures Centro Histórico!
From the moment we made the reservation until checkout, Hernan was with us every step of the way to ensure our experience was flawless. Shortly after booking, Hernan reached out to confirm our arrival time, and when we got to the hotel, he was waiting for us. He even provided us with an early check-in, which was a huge help.
Hernan took the time to walk us through all the interesting sites in Quito using a map, which was extremely helpful since it was our first time in the Historic Centre. The hospitality didn’t stop there—he surprised us with a complimentary room upgrade with a stunning view of the streets and the city! Hernan checked in daily, giving us updates on breakfast and explaining its significance. On the second day, he even had the staff prepare a special traditional Ecuadorian drink, on the house.
To make our trip even more memorable, Hernan offered us a personal tour of Quito, which was incredible. We left the city with cherished memories and were sad to say goodbye on our last day. Thank you, Hernan, for making our time in Quito so special!
