"Nice, very historic hotel. No A/C which normally isn’t a problem in Carmel. It was extremely hot which is very odd especially for this time of year."

"From the moment we drove up, we loved the style of the hotel, the location and the amenities it has to offer. Staff were very helpful, rooms clean and updated. Loved that the hotel was dog friendly, yet didn't see dogs all over if that's a turn off. Located near a really cute center called the Barnyard where you can literally walk across for dinner/coffee/shopping. 5 minutes to beach. Great spot you won't regret staying here."

"The first night Carmel was having a heat wave and the room was extremely hot. No AC in the room and only one of the wondows open. I know this is a rare situation but it would have been nice if they had fans in the rooms for days like this. Wouldn't be much of a cost for the Inn and definitely would hve made.the night more bearable. Weather was normal after that and we had a wonderful trip. I usually stay at the Normandy Inn when my wife and I visit Carmel which is a few times a year."

"We did not use the pool. Room was clean. There was no air conditioning so the room was a little warm. "

"The cottage was awesome. It was very clean and quiet. The parking was excellent. You get your own personal space. It felt very safe. "

"A lovely boutique hotel within walking distance to downtown Carmel restaurants, shops, and art galleries. Our room was very comfortable. The staff are very nice and helpful. The continental breakfast is outstanding. Parking can be a bit challenging as there are not enough spaces for the number of rooms but the hotel does not charge for parking."

"Everything at La Playa was amazing. The facilities, food, staff and proximity to the beach and Ocean Avenue shopping area. The hotel had a great boutique feel and was very classy. I would stay there again!!"

"Best part about this hotel is the location. It’s right at the end of Ocean Ave and a short walk to cafes, shops and restaurants. The bed was comfortable and shower pressure was awesome. "
