「Clean, everything you need, walking distance to beach, nice and quiet. Would be 5 star except sofa smells, plant overgrown on entrance to property and back door very stiff and hard to lock. Lovely little estate of pretty houses」

「Nice bar and restaurant area - near to Folkestone and exit to channel tunnel so all good - local garages, Tesco’s M&S garage shop McD’ all in close Proximity. Rooms are clean and basic but with just what you need. Great to have food available on site plus the free Breakfast is perfect to set you on your way. Staff are willing to help with any needs - that are possible. Only gripe would be having to pay for car parking. So ideal place to stay if need to be near Folkestone and the Channel...

「Very clean room with plenty of tea making facilities and lots of hot water, fluffy towels and a comfortable bed. Helpful full length mirror in bedroom. Some of the communal areas look a bit tired, but staff welcoming and room was great for my needs (staying overnight in area ready for family get together). Great location for Hythe and walk along seafront short drive away.」

「I stayed in the middle of a heatwave, the bedroom had paper thin curtains so was woken by the light at 5am. The room was also boiling, tho they gave me a small fan. The chef had left so no food available in the evening. Breakfast were adequate (tho somehow unable to do poached eggs???) The shower was great, but the whole hotel is extremely tired and needs a huge amount of updating. It had an air of Fawlty Towers about it」

「Third time staying here due to the positive previous experiences. The positive streak continued with a great room featuring a fantastic air-conditioning unit which kept me cool in the June heat. A wonderful workout ensued in their very well-equipped gym set up. This was followed by a powerful shower and I went to dine nearby. Had a great night's sleep before a well-cooked breakfast got my day started perfectly. Can't wait to come back.」

Battle is a wonderful village full of history and we really enjoyed the evening exploring the town and enjoying the vista. The hotel is small, old and quaint. The room was small,but comfortable with a private bathroom with shower,along with complimentary tea and coffee. Would recommend this Inn for exploring this historic area of East Sussex.」

The terrace was perfect for sitting out. The rooms were modern and really lovely, air conditioned, well equipped and with a sliding Japanese style door for privacy when the kids were in bed.
