「The staff were lovely. The room had some issues. The lighting was poor especially the communal corridor. Couldnt see to insert the door key. No facial tissues. The dressing table was unstable and wobbled. Breakfast was excellent, dinner not so. My main portion was paltry. A discount of £2.40 was offered as compensation, not enough. 「It was lovely and cosy and staff were very welcoming. Loved the bar and my food was delicious. Negative - not sure water glasses were clean as there was water in them. Soon put right when I asked for a clean one from the bar.」

「A very pleasant stay at “The Carps”. Very pleasant, helpful, friendly staff. The room was very pleasant with a comfortable bed and roomy shower room. The room layout reflects the history of the property with a couple of shallow steps between the bedroom and shower. We stayed for dinner and were rewarded by a tasty meal.
