Checkin, John went overboard to change one of our rooms to accommodate Steve who has trouble walking to the ground floor. The food was excellent, both evening meal and breakfast.

The property in a beautiful ancient coaching inn. The pub downstairs is friendly, the food and drinks are like any Greene King pub so it's well priced and good. Breakfast is cheaper if bought on the room. There is a choice of buffet or buffet+hot. Both are nice. Inevitably the property shows some signs of age. Definitely ready for some paint touch up. However that is part of the charm. The floors upstairs are rarely flat due to hundreds of years of settlement. We had a fabulous time with three generations of family over New Year.

Wonderful staff!

Personable staff-charming and attentive to all our needs. We had everything we needed in our stop walking the Cotswold Way. We had 13 different hotels along the way and with this one it was the staff that made it a great stay.

Beautiful hotel, loving service

Just a great, authentic British Pub Inn with delicious food and great service both in the restaurant and the Inn. Staff were a delight. Rooms were spacious and well equipped. Beds were comfy!

Very nice stay, very good food to be had in bar. Lovely character pub, rooms little dated, no bedside lamp unfortunately but otherwise comfortable.

Relaxing stay and delicious food

We had a lovely 3 night stay with friendly helpful staff. Hot breakfast was cooked individually to order and would swap things around to suit you. I had read about slow service but if you aren't in a rush the pace is relaxed. Nice old building but good modern bathroom. The only downside was wanting to sit outside as there was not a handle to get back in and some people kept shutting the door tight.
