Nice accomodation near to city center!

Nice and friendly hostel in very beautiful bulding. I had a single/double room with queen bed. Basic, but with enough space. Shared bathrooms were nice and clean. Only flaw, a bit noisy cause of tram in the main road. Very happy, strongly recommended!

Convenient and comfortable.

I had a single room with private bathroom and it was great. It was a loft type room with the bed stop some steep steps...fine for me, but some people might find it difficult to climb up or down and the loft had a low ceiling so most people will have to duck. It's a great location with great service for a good price. I would stay here again.

Good Stay

We stayed here for 3 nights, the hostel was okay. We had our own room with a shared bathroom. Checking in: This was not an easy process as the directions were not clear. This hostel is split over multiple floors. After we figured out we needed to be on floor one we was able to enter the property. There was no reception staff on at 3pm on a Sunday. The room: The room was good for the price, clean and simple. I found the mattress to be very thing and hard so if you struggle to sleep this isn't for you. We got a table with 2 chairs and a rail to hang clothes on. Towels are not provided. There was 2 bathrooms for 6 rooms, they were clean although the toilet seat was broken (cracked on the seat so it would pinch your legs when you got off) There is a kitchenette within the hostel which had a kettle and microwave. The con of the property was the windows are not very good if you are in room 6 you can hear the road a lot. No Aircon or a fan - the rooms get warm quickly. I would hope in summer there is a option for a fan. (It states the rules on the wall in the rooms to ensure the Aircon is turned off when you leave) Unfortunately we had a very noisy group within our stay which lead to me and other guests having to ask them to keep it down (2am). Quiet hours are 10pm - 6am I hope future guests adhere to these rules for the respect of other guests. Overall I would stay here again due to it being so cheap!

Great price value. Central, can get anywhere in 20 min. Large rooms, old style and a bit worn. Four rooms shared two bathsrooms. Maybe single appartment next time.

More transparency please

The bill was higher than what I had booked on Hotels.com without an explanation; one of the single beds was noisy = squeeky. I made the mistake to place my food on the wrong shelf in the fridge, not noticing the labels on the side that each shelf was allocated to a room. My food dissapeared during the day when I was out

This was a great hostel in an old building with lots of character. Very clean, too. It was just a few minutes walk to the Oktogon metro station and the trams that will take you straight to the parliament and castle district (change to bus 16 after crossing the river). 3 minutes away is a pizza place that stays open until 2am.

Don’t bother

Layer of dust on everything. Rude/unfriendly/unhelpful staff. Very noisy from traffic and with the people in it as it’s so small - the communal area in in close proximity to all.

Kodinomainen, rauhallinen paikka. Sijainti keskustassa, joten liikenteen melu oli tosi kova yötä päivää, mutta ikkunoissa oli hyvät äänieristeet. Keittiö oli kiva, huone hyvin vaatimaton, mutta siisti. Tosi mukava henkilökunta, joka pesi meidän pyykit 10 eurolla ja toi ne käärittynä, ihanan tuoksuisena huoneeseen. Hintansa arvoinen paikka. Pikkuvikoja, esim sänky natisi, naulakko heilui yms mutta silti hyvä paikka.

Budapest, un incanto di città.

Tranquillo, confortevole, un luogo sicuro dove rientrare la sera, dopo una giornata di novità e meraviglie.......... e un po' di stanchezza. L'accoglienza della struttura ineccepibile, comfort e pulizia ok, "tantissimo dipende da noi". No sé muy bien cómo describir mi experiencia pero, allá vamos! El tema de comunicación con el personal, a la hora de realizar el auto check in, perfecto, no hubo problema. El pago se realizaba en el hostal, así que lo hicimos al día siguiente. Ahora bien, la habitación... Estuvimos en la Zona 2, en habitación "privada" y lo pongo entre comillas por una sencilla razón. Al ver la llave, con una forma peculiar, sin mueca alguna, se me hizo extraño... Y viendo que, las otras 3 habitaciones no había ningún huésped, me dio por probar y, ¿Que pasó? Pues que mi llave, abría las otras habitaciones. Por ende, la llave de las otras habitaciones también abría mi habitación. Eso me creo mucha inseguridad a la hora de dejar alguna cosa de valor en la habitación. Esta, contaba con un pequeño mueble TV, un armario y una mesa con una silla, para el apaño perfecto. Por otro lado, está el "colchón", si se le puede llamar así. Puesto que, ese colchón tenía menos grosos que una hoja de papel. También cabría decir qué, tenían manchas, quemaduras, etc etc... El higiene se perdió por el camino. Luego, si es cierto que no hemos pasado frío por las mantas y edredón que ofrecía, la calefacción no funcionaba. Los baños y la cocina, si estaban limpios al menos. Conclusión, para pasar un par de noches y conocer Budapest, está muy bien ya que está muy bien comunicada y pilla cerca de todo. Ahora bien, pido encarecidamente que miren el tema de las cerraduras...
