「The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The property was very run down, the floor boards were particularly creaky and everything about the property seemed run down. There were no power points near the bed and the bed was very low and too soft.」

「The breakfast was, I’d say, better than in a Hotel Ibis. The food was, definitely, locally sourced. We reached Bruton and the Hauser & Wirth arts complex easily from this hotel. We also visited the Jurassic Coast, but that took us a whole day, and we returned by 10pm.」

「All was great. The only issue was being on the 3rd floor, which in the summer is as hot as an attic. Not comfortable even with the fan they supplied in the room. I needed to take several cold showers to cool off.」

「We stayed for 2 nights in the family room which had a lovely comfortable king size bed, ensuite with large walk in shower and air con which was a God send. Very clean and quiet. The staff are lovely, food and drinks reasonably priced, breakfast choices good. The beer garden needs some attention but is secure if you have children or a dog. Steep stairs to the rooms which were a bit difficult with our elderly dog but over all a great stay. Please note, although very dog friendly they do charge...
