「The hotel is very comfortable, the facilities are very good, the windows can see the mountain view, the scenery is beautiful. Breakfast was delicious.」

「If your preference is for a modern purpose built hotel, then the Morar hotel might not be for you. It does however offer a spectacular building with feature packed rooms downstairs with grand staircases up to the bedrooms, very clean, modern bathroom in the bedroom we had, unbelievable views from many of the bedroom windows and great food. The staff (Nadia, Tuan, Akram and Trenton) were very friendly and helpful. The location, immediately opposite the station was ideal for us on our railway...

「Our room was spacious, with a picturesque water view. Hotel staff are friendly and engaging; made us feel welcome. The restaurant is great. Breakfast, too. And the pub where we chatted with some very nice folk. Worth the splurge.」

「Slightly odd self check in system, especially given I was thinking this would be a conventional bed-and-breakfast or guesthouse experience. We skipped the breakfast offered based on others' reviews. There are some nice options in Portree and other nearby coffee shops and bakeries. The room was spacious and functional. The location is convenient for anyone who just wants to get onto Skye without having to drive any further, especially if having driven from a long distance such as from Inverness....

「The hotel is a few minutes walk from Mallaig train station, and the ferry terminal. There are two supermarkets and a few restaurants around the village so that one can easily get refreshments. I was amazed that the hotel is in a delicate traditional wooden decor, and has a relaxing garden terrace. I also enjoyed the window view a lot! The room was clean and it’s reception was excellent. I strongly recommend anyone who plan to visit any Hebrides islands, give the hotel a chance,.」

The room is up a set of outside stairs just above the restaurant, which has a nice variety of options on the menu. We enjoyed our stay both on the way to Canna and overnight on the return.」
