The room was excellent! Staff very friendly, the only thing I didn't like was a room service woman banging on my door about an hour and a half to check out time. Aside that, the Residence Inn by Marriott at Downtown, South End, Boston, is the best hotel experience I have ever had.

We booked our stay here for work. We had a coast-to coast red eye flight and were dead tired. We came in to the hotel early to see if we could have them hold our bags. Alas, they had a room ready for us. It literally saved our life, as we could take a nap, because who can sleep on a plane? The room was clean, the staff very, very helpful and accommodating. It is in a walkable location to the hospital district and to other areas like the Prudential Center, etc. Appreciate the hotel staff looking out for weary travelers!

My kids and I flew up to Boston for a concert over the weekend. I read quite a few negative reviews about this hotel and the area, but I have absolutely no complaints. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating, room was clean, and the complimentary breakfast had plenty of options.
