"We loved our stay at the Riverside. Although there is no restaurant for dinner on site, a complimentary shuttle to town was very handy. The only n downside was difficulty finding the hotel. But once we arrived, our room had a lovely view of the river and Salisbury Cathefral. (I'd recommend getting a Riverview room! And don't miss he giraffe!"
Peartree Serviced Apartments

"We used this location to visit Stonehenge as well as the Old Harry Rocks/Dorset Coast in general. It was also convenient and easy to sneak a day trip into Bath from this spot. It was perfect for our longer days, coming back to a clean apartment with all the amenities to cook our own meals. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. On site parking is available for £5 per day or if you arrive by train it’s a mere 100 meters to the station. If you arrive by train, the location is very walkable to grocery stores and local attractions (Salisbury Cathedral). Staff were super responsive in the Expedia chat and very friendly. It’s a self check in / check out, with staff on site in case you experience any issues. The fridge/table was also stocked with complimentary breakfast items which was a nice touch. There is a full laundry room, again stocked with laundry detergent, stain remover, etc. Would absolutely recommend staying here and if I am ever back in the area, I would stay here again myself."

"The space was great, especially the sitting room area. We really enjoyed our stay here except for one odd thing - the property manager scheduled carpet cleaning for the middle of our 2 night stay. I don't normally check my email while on vacation, but I just happened to check and saw a message that carpet cleaners would be coming. There is not a safe at the property and even if we locked our travel documents in our suitcases, there's nothing stopping a thief from taking the whole suitcase. So we were very nervous and debating cancelling our day plans so one of us could guard our belongings. We were most afraid that our travel documents could be taken. Luckily, we requested they reschedule the cleaning and they obliged. It seemed odd that the cleaning wasn't scheduled for a day the room is not rented or that days weren't blocked out from being rented ahead of time. The situation add brief stress to our trip unnecessarily and I hate that it put a damper on a great stay."

"We had a great stay. Good sized twin bedded room with nice little outside sitting area overlooking the river. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast fresh and plentiful. Parking was £5 per night which was fine as the hotel is well located an easy 10 minute walk from the cathedral and town centre."

"Location was on a busy main road so exiting by car was difficult at times. Car parking although off road was tight. A bit too far to walk into Salisbury for an evening meal and nothing close by was good enough. Breakfast was hot and excellent, many choices. Staff very friendly. A very distinguished property with quiet rooms, no squeaky floorboards as we have seen and heard elsewhere. A lovely place and would stay again."

"Lovely building with great views of the cathedral. Rooms clean and spacious. Booked 2 twin rooms for 4 pensioners. Only criticism was one room had bath with a shower head but no shower curtain or wall fixing to secure the shower head to have a shower. Wasn’t expected and was rather inconvenient for elderly occupants. That said we had a lovely stay"
