It’s the first room I’ve stayed in apart from an Airbnb where the room was not made up, pillows on the floor remained on the floor as did blankets etc. they said they were not allowed to touch anything that had an item of someone’s personal property on it, but they could have folded and tidied things, they left clean towels on the unmade beds. Absolute shocker really, not Airbnb prices either. Cot for child is small than usual size travel cots. Room was next to car park with noisy gravel no room service or fridge etc The breakfast was nice and you sat in the restaurant well but looked out to the car park

Wow!! What an amazing place to find for a last minute weekend away. An idyllic rural setting, with a stunningly unspoilt river nearby. We even saw an otter swimming along! Honestly this place is top notch, beautifully decorated accommodation, lovely bed linens and huge extremely comfortable bed complete with electric blackout blinds on the windows. Lovely bathroom too. Staff were warm, friendly and inviting. But the best thing about this place is the amazing food. Everything we tried was superb, homemade bread and wood fired pizzas for lunch, amazing a La carte meals for dinner. And whatever you do, don’t miss out on breakfast. Homemade marmalade and sourdough toast and the best full English I’ve had in a long time!!

Our stay at The Great Bustard in Salisbury was excellent and far better than we expected. The rooms were absolutely brand new, in perfect condition, and spotlessly clean. The food was beyond anything we anticipated—truly gourmet, Michelin-star quality, and every dish was delicious. Without a doubt, we would come back again. The service was outstanding.
