"We arrived at the hotel at 5 p.m., but our room still wasn't ready for check-in. They offered us a larger room, but only for an additional cost. The rooms and bathrooms are very small. Overall, it was disappointing."

"Wanted a centrally located hotel for this trip and the Marriot Downtown fit the bill. Large, busy hotel with bar, restaurants and other amenities. Room on 19th floor was spacious and well appointed. Room service was done without having to request it, not an automatic these days. Biggest drawback was $78 a night parking fee which resulted in use of nearby garage which turned out to be much more of a hassle than it should have been."

"There was construction happening during the time of our stay. I cannot comment about the appearance due to that. The amenities in the kitchen were quite old and not a great experience. Being in the middle of the city was really nice to take walks and visit places quickly. We enjoyed that! All requests were handled well by the front desk."

"Dayshift staff was helpful and friendly. Parking is off site, but only around the corner. The front desk gives very explicit directions via a ‘flier that was extremely accurate"

"Love this hotel– it's my new go-to in Philly, and I've stayed at all the higher end spots over the years. Cheap parking on the same block, really nice rooms with a good chill artsy vibe, the attached restaurant is great and has traveler-friendly hours (aka it's open on Sunday night!)."
