"Wonderful stay at HVC at Desert Oasis!! There are not enough words to say how much we enjoyed staying here!!! From the moment we checked in, very smooth and quick, the team provided us with the nicest unit at the first floor with the nicest view of the mountain and golf course!! I celebrated my 55 birthday during this vacation and and the HVC at Desert Oasis team went above and beyond to help me celebrate!! I found a happy birthday card and balloon upon entering my vila, welcoming me on vacation!! Amazing!! The concierge team was very helpful with suggestions and ideas for thinks to do and golf!! The villas are very clean and spacious, you have everything you need for a very comfortable stay! The property is so very nicely maintained, so clean, the grounds are so pretty with flowers everywhere! Pools are very nice and the hot tub very nice, perfect temperature!! The Palm Terrace Cafe offers all kinds of foods and yummy cocktails, happy hour and specials daily! Carlos and Vini, and the whole team there are going above and beyond to get you whatever you need! My husband played golf, he enjoyed the Cathedral Canyon golf course a lot, very nice greens and views!! There is a walk/bike trail right outside the resort that connects to a City Link trail, that I enjoyed walking on every single morning, right outside my terrace, the views are stunning!!! All in all I cannot say enough about this resort! We loved staying here, felt like home and we cannot wait to go back!!! "

"We love staying here and stay 2-3 times a year. Live in Wa state. The Reef is always great, good drinks and food. Reef staff always the nicest people. We do like the hotel. Dog friendly clean rooms. It’s the desk staff that I find too business like, in flexible and cold. Never plesant , never smiling and down right “ I don’t give a rip” attitudes. In the 5 years we have been staying this has been the case. Even on the phone. "

"Pros: Large room was very clean when we arrived; delicious breakfast; bikes; mist machines at the pool; excellent margaritas. Cons: Lumpy uncomfortable beds; thin walls; dirty A/C and bathroom fans; pool water, pool deck and loungers not clean; gross smell in hallways; understaffed restaurant. Overall this is an aging property with bright paint and furnishings to mask its imperfections. The price was fair but we were not very comfortable."

"The property is older and some parts of it are run down (like the pillows of the pool cabanas), but our family of 4 had a relaxing time spending 3 nights here. The price was inflated because of Cochella, so it was probably not worth $399 per night for 2 queen beds. There wasn't much ventilation in the bathroom, so it got kind of musty in there and the property is so massive it was a long walk to the lobby. I would recommend if you can get the regular rate ($135/night) and not have to pay up during high season. My husband had a massage at the spa ($165 for 1 hr) and said it was great. The workout room was really nice and we intended to use the free bikes but never did."
