「Balcony view lovely. Staff very nice and so helpful. I have bad arthritis and they put a mattress topper on bed to make it more comfortable for me. Excellent service. Room was getting a little shabby with some scuffs etc. but it was clean and comfortable. 」

「The entrance and lobby at this hotel are simply gorgeous, a real attention to detail makes this a welcoming environment. The rooms are spacious and clean, and although the balconies are small, they do provide a lovely view. The solarium area and sunbathing spaces are ample and both pools were refreshing. The pool bar has lots of options and a nice food menu. Overall, having stayed in 5 or 6 hotels in the vicinity, Hotel Alay has proved to be my favourite and actually great value for money...

「Excellent place to stay. Minutes from the station and right in the centre of town so close to all the shops, cafes and restaurants. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. Good WiFi. Plenty of hot water and a good powerful shower. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Would certainly recommend if you want to be in the town rather than on the seafront. 」

It was my wife’s birthday and unprompted they delivered a bottle of fizz to our room while we were out discovering the food delights of the town. A lovely touch, my wife didn’t believe that I hadn’t told them. The staff were attentive and helpful, it’s in a great position for exploring and we’d definitely stay there again. 」
