「The Royal is a great hotel situated in the quaint village of Heysham. We loved our stay. Lots of nice walks and history. The hotel has a very relaxed and chilled atmosphere. The food is excellent and all staff are friendly and display excellent communication and customer service skills. Everwhere is spotlessly clean. Free parking is an added bonus. We will be returning soon and I will recommend the Royal to my friends and family.」

「We spent a night at the Wheatsheaf, to break the long drive from Scotland to Berkshire. Our room, although not huge, was clean, with crisp, white bed linen on a very comfy bed, and with lovely views of the pretty village church. Although warned about the frequent bell ringing, it did not disturb us in any way. Nice, white towels were provided in the shower room. Lucy and her team couldn't have been more welcoming, efficient, and helpful. It was convenient to be able to enjoy our evening...

「My sister and I spent just a couple of nights here and truly fell in love with the house and staff. Every interaction was easy and kind, the house was incredibly well kept, and the grounds were gorgeous. It's located a bit out of the way which is perfect for minimizing crowds and noise! Our room was perfectly sized and the bed/bedding comfortable. All in all, a 10/10. Highly recommend to anyone in any stage of life.」

「Lovely hotel in a great location. Views over Windermere are amazing. The car park can be a tight squeeze for larger cars. The premises features a very large pub on the ground floor, which is used for a great breakfast for guests. Reception desk for hotel guests is in the bar. The bedroom was very well appointed, clean and spacious. The only issue that I had was that the staff were a little inattentive...
