"Great hotel, clean, good breakfast, central location."

"Staff are lovely and friendly and the hotel is very clean. It's located 10 mins walk from the station in a good central area where there are plenty of bars, restaurants and things to do. We were initially given a room which looked out of the back of the hotel at a concrete wall but when I asked to change to a room with more light and a more pleasant outlook the staff were fab and more than happy to oblige. The room we were given instead had a great view over the city and loads of light and its well worth asking for this when you book. Great checkout time of 12noon today (Sunday). The website did say this hotel has parking but you do need to phone and book this in advance as its limited. We parked in nearby Princes St car park which was 28 pounds for 24 hours and is a 5 min walk away. We would recommend a lovely traditional Italian restaurant nearby callled Giuseppes. Its on the steps up to St Nicholas' Market and was delicious and great value. Also theres a great coffee bar next to the hotel called Fika which again has lovely staff, great coffee, cool decor and it does super tasty breakfast baps as well as sandwiches and cakes. A super stay."

"We stayed in the Stable Block in the car park, lovely big room with fantastic shower. We enjoyed our stay as the hotel is right in the centre of Bath and great for seeing the city. Just a few small moans, the pantry idea is great but it might just be better to put the items in the rooms - for a hotel of this price it would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room. Also, the pantry assumes that all guests will take items equally! I’m afraid our pantry area had been cleared out before we got a chance! And the bar is closed for refurbishment - this had not been mentioned in any prior communication and we weren’t told at check in. The downstairs breakfast room is doubling as a bar but it lacked any bar ambience."

"Lovely hotel, Some staff very welcoming - the bar man and the waiter at breakfast went above and beyond. The room however was very warm and we could not get the air conditioning to work - even with the window open it was unbearable. The bathroom sink was a bit limescaley for my liking in what is classed as a high quality hotel. Overall the stay was lovely"

"Interestingly designed rooms, very compact but well thought out through. Like the technology of switching. Comfortable bed and quality linen. Blackout blinds were amazing. Really good shower too. Nothing to complain about."

"Decor old and run down in places, dated and in need of refurbishment. Booked a double room and got the smallest room I can remember by UK standards. Double bed was pushed up against the wall so you could only get in from one side (it was really a single size room with a double bed squashed in!). Breakfast however was good. Overall, as a one night stay for a theatre visit to Bristol, the hotel met our requirements, with a good location, but did not meet our expectations. Car park is right next door, very convenient (£19 for 24 hours) but, as like many other reviews I’ve read, is terribly small with narrower than usual ramps - if you a larger than average car then park elsewhere."
