"Wow! High class, great service, great food, amazing staff! From the time we set foot on property, we were treated like royalty!
The room was large and well appointed. The canopy bed was something!
Do note that the location is up on the hill/mountain so you will most likely need transportation (e.g., taxi) to get there. You can easily find a taxi at Atami Station. I guess you can walk but it's pretty steep. Walking down is not a problem unless you have luggage in tow. We walked down the next day with no issues."

"It’s a lovely luxury vacation resort. Beautiful, well equipped. Shower is very powerful (not all hotels have that). Outdoor Onsen bath per room with sea view is the best.
All staffs are very nice and helpful.
The spa is superb too. We did facial and body massage. Totally relaxed.
It’s a great resort. Dinner is nice.
One recommendation: breakfast is limited to Japanese style only. It would be great if the hotel can offer Japanese style and western style.
We have been to karaku Hakone. The KARAKU Hakone offers both western and Japanese style breakfast. "
