「nice than expected」

「Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. OSF is within walking distance. Safeway is across the street, which was handy. Even though the hallways weren’t carpeted (which I though would result in hearing people walking in the halls), I didn’t hear any other guests at night. 」

「I booked a room because I was driving to Ashland for a quick business trip, and I didn't want to turn around and drive home (3 hour drive). I thought it would be nice to relax at the end of the day, stay in Ashland, and return home the next morning. Never heard of Green Springs, but they had a room with a jacuzzi, so I booked it! It is more secluded than I realized (my fault for not researching enough), so I didn't know that it was a half-hour drive along a very winding road to even go get a...

「We booked this at the last minute as we wanted to spend an extra night in Ashland and previously booked accommodation could not accommodate it. We were very pleasantly surprised and very happy with Best Western WIndsor -- large, pleasant room on the ground floor so could park right outside; proximity to restaurants (The Oak Tree Bar and Grill was open late, very reasonable and perfect for us. The Best Western was one of the best deals on our whole trip (9 different accommodations in 17 days).」

「One word---dirty」

「Lovely hotel in a quiet corner of Ashland! A ten-minute walk from the main downtown area. The keyless self-check-in was lovely and worked well! Heads up that you do not have any control over the heat or A/C in your rooms. This was fine but sometimes meant we woke up too toasty in the mornings, or went to bed chilly. We had a fridge in our room, but no microwave, so leftovers from restaurants could only be eaten cold. The other thing missing that would have taken the room to the next level is...

「This was the second time visiting this property and it was breathtaking the location the was convenient and there were so many options near downtown Ashland for food. We also enjoyed the pool area and it was very clean and kept well. I appreciate the owners opening up their doors for us. Hope to visit again in the future. 」
