「The room was very clean, something as a former maid I always look for. Staff was very helpful. We loved the soaps and staff was great about finding which particular soap brand used and even a store location for us. Motel was quiet at night and the beds were very comfortable. Kitchenette was perfect for our needs, we didn't plan to cook any meals but morning tea and coffee were much appreciated. The atmosphere was the best, quirky, retro, but not weirdly so, with peaceful colors and...

「We've stayed here many times on our trips up and down between the Bay Area and Portland. There is lots of parking, convenient access to the freeway and very good food in the restaurant. We missed the complimentary breakfast this year. Word was the hotel recently changed owners. They are very pet friendly which is a plus for us and the fridge and microwave in the room is so helpful. The cleanliness is tops and the grounds are very nice. It's still our go to place in Ashland.」

「Registration/check-in was handled via a machine, i.e., talking to a person who was somewhere else who handled the business even though there were other human beings present in the office. I don't like talking to a machine and felt very uncomfortable with that. When I asked for a second key card, the person on the kiosk tried to issue one but couldn't and she asked a "live" person to get me one; however, that card never worked. Room was in the back but was noisy.」

「Staff was great, and parking was convenient. The room was clean, though the bedding could be improved. Breakfast could also be improved with more fresh, locally made items and less packaging.」

「The check in experience was so bad that they did not find my reservation. And they have to keep calling their manager who is not on site to find out more information. Finally they want me to re-book with them again and pay on site. I told them that I have a booking with Hotels.com, they keep saying they cannot find the reservation. I spent at least 30 minutes at the front desk and still couldn't resolve the problem. It made me think they want to charge me twice.」
