"Picturesque, friendly, and enchanting! It was snowing when we arrived, making it feel like we were in a Hallmark holiday movie. The staff (and dog, Yeti!) were super helpful and warm, and made us feel right at home. Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Loved spending time in the main lodge playing pool and checkers, and relaxing by the fireplace. The s’mores kit was a great touch! Absolutely loved the charm of this place and would recommend it to couples (including LGBT couples!) and friends...

"I did not have a good stay at cactus Pete's. There was odd casino behavior coming through Nevada and I stopped in for a nights stay. Checking in took two hours and no one helped me for twenty minutes. It was confusing and chaotic and it took two HOURS to get to my room--which was all the way across the street. A sad bent spined coy sat in a small solitary little pond. Sad. And lastly, they never returned the room deposit for this booking...through the site or app. Yuck."

"Easily one of the top properties on our travel. Very rustic yet immaculately clean. Set right on the banks of the Snake river. Step out on the back porch and the river is 30 ft away. Very relaxing to fall into a quick snooze in the deck chair due to the calm bubbling of the river. Only regret is that the on-site restaurant wasn't sked to open for another 3 weeks for the summer season. If you want a unique stay, this is it."
