"This hotel is an experience. It's an isolated location on a mountain side, but the hotel decor is almost a museum and worthy of being a destination in itself. The tempura was old and had been cooked 2 or 3 days ago. Each dish was pretty vile. Also there was a family in the room above ours with extremely noisy children and we could hear everything. "5 minutes walk from Souzan station, place was quiet with 2 onsens. Onsen are rotated every 12 hours. Kaiseki styled Dinner and breakfast were provided as there is very limited food option in Hakone area and most public transport end at 5pm"

"Clean and cmfortable rooms, bathroom and showers close by. Mats were thick enough to be comfortable, while still giving an authentic Japanese experience. Not much in the immediate area, but great park and restaurants were a 15 to 30 minute walk. Desk person seemed a bit brisk, but not rude."

"100% perfect view of Fuji-san!! Short walk from Kawaguchiko Station and the route is generally flat and well lit at night. The property was very modern and minimalist. Room was clean but had some drain flies in the toilet. Very spacious and can easily fit four adults and luggage. Walls were not very sound-proof but was still acceptable. "
