「Good: The hotel is well located and impressive in its public areas. All the staff are friendly and polite The breakfast is very good Not so good: The room itself was not too impressive. The room was stuffy, safe didn’t work, and the shower was a trickle. Overall location 10 out of 10 so if you are out and about exploring York all day and arriving/departing by train it would be good choice. If you want to relax in your room then I would recommend a different room category or another hotel. 」

「Beautiful hotel and very nice bathroom, bed was comfortable. Quiet environment and around 20 mins walk to city centre. Only thing is we have big luggage but there is no lift.」

「Again get what u pay for but a very plecent stay n the price is sutable for a family room stayed 5 times now in the past 6 months so do recomend for a very plecent what you get cheap family stay :)」

「I love the design of the Indigo hotels and this one is no different. Staff very friendly. Location good with lots of bars, restaurants and independent shops nearby. (The Spanish restaurant across the road is really friendly as we popped in for a glass of fizz. ) would definitely recommend it 」

「£130 for 2 night is not cheap for this. The room is small , barely open my large suitcase. The toilet and bathroom also. The room card adn lock is not always working, need to keep trying. No kettle and hair dryer in room. But it is close to coach station.」

「Very convenient for central Scarborough, South Bay and the Spa. Parking is a little tricky although there is a multi-storey up the road for £12 a day. The hotel itself was grand although in need of a little TLC - renovations were ongoing while we were there. The room was similar - comfortable and spacious but with a few things in need of repair.」

「A pleasant one night stay to celebrate a birthday. An excellent location Really pleasant and professional staff. Good choice in the restaurant well prepared and presented. One should appreciate with a wonderful building of this age the restrictions imposed which may affect alterations to an ultra modern standard and therefore some domestic operations.Enjoy and imagine iwhat it was like in its past」
