The Chelsea is overall a fine venue hotel but the heater fan in the room was extremely noisy making it impossible to sleep. The thermostat also didn't work which made the room either too hot or off entirely.
The pool and gym facilities upstairs were nice and restaurant had a good variety of options.
Location is convenient to Dundas Square and Yonge St. There is some construction on the sidewalks to be aware of. I'm not sure I would recommend this part of Toronto for young children to explore on the street as it has a high amount of active drug use with the aroma quite strong, homelessness, Drug/sex shops.
The pool with waterslide is apparently under renovation which hopefully should be nice when it's finished.

Everything was great! The staff were friendly and very accommodating.
The only issue I had was the shower water temperature. I showered in cold water.
