This hotel claims to be a 5-star hotel, but it does not operate like one. Guests are not greeted when entering or leaving the hotel, and as a foreigner, it can be difficult to communicate with some of the staff. The room itself was okay, but there were noticeable signs of wear and tear, including mold in the restroom and stained walls. The walls are also very thin, so you can clearly hear conversations from the guests next door. Overall, the hotel did not meet the expectations of a 5-star property.

Nobody spoke english and their service was very poor.

Our stay at Palais de Chine was perfect - the staff were friendly and courteous, our room was immaculate, the hotel itself was beautiful. And a special mention for the breakfast buffet - varied and delicious! One of the plus side to this is its proximity to the main train/subway terminal and its centrality. We highly recommend this hotel!
